Privacy Policy for Weight Tracker

Mobilia Apps ("we", "us", "our") operates the Weight Tracker mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, how long it is kept, and how you can delete it.
By using the App you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
You enter this information yourself. It is the core content of the App:
- Weight entries — weight value, date, optional notes
- Body measurements — waist, chest, hips, arms, thighs, date, optional notes
- Progress photos — photos you choose to take or select, with the associated date and weight
- Water intake — amount and time of each entry
- Profile & goal settings — height, gender, starting weight, goal weight, preferred units (kg/lb, cm/in)
- Support messages — if you use the in-app Contact Us form, we receive your message, your email address, and basic device information (model, Android version, app version) which you send to us by email
Weight, body measurements and progress photos are health-related information. We treat them as sensitive and never sell or share them for advertising.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Account identifiers — if you sign in with Google to enable cloud backup, we receive your Google account email address and a Firebase user ID (UID)
- Crash and diagnostic data — Firebase Crashlytics collects crash stack traces, device model, OS version and app version when the App crashes
- Usage analytics — Firebase Analytics collects anonymous, aggregated events such as screens opened and features used
- Advertising data — Google AdMob may collect your Advertising ID and coarse device/usage signals to serve ads
- Purchase status — Google Play Billing tells the App whether you own the premium upgrade. We never see or receive your payment card details
1.3 Camera and Photo Access
The App asks for camera and photo access only when you choose to add a progress photo. Photos are stored in the App's private storage on your device and, if cloud backup is enabled, in your private cloud folder. We do not scan, analyse or share your photos.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information to:
- Store and display your weight history, measurements, photos and water intake
- Calculate BMI, trends, progress charts and goal projections
- Back up and restore your data across your devices when you enable cloud sync
- Send reminder notifications you have scheduled
- Show ads to users of the free version and remove them for premium users
- Diagnose crashes and improve stability
- Respond to your support requests
We do not use your health data for advertising, profiling or any automated decision-making.
3. Data Storage and Security
3.1 Local Storage (default)
By default, all of your data stays on your device in a private app database. It is not transmitted anywhere. If you never sign in, no weight, measurement or photo data ever leaves your phone.
3.2 Cloud Storage (optional)
If you sign in with Google and enable cloud backup, your entries and progress photos are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage) under your private user ID. Only your signed-in account can read this data. Firebase servers are operated by Google and may be located outside your country. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
3.3 Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards including TLS encryption, per-user access rules and Google's security infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your weight, measurements, photos or notes with any third party for marketing purposes.
Data is processed only by these service providers, acting on our behalf:

We may disclose information if required by law or valid legal process.
You control ad personalisation through the consent form shown on first launch (EEA/UK users) and through your device's Advertising ID settings. Purchasing premium removes ads entirely.
5. DATA RETENTION
We keep your information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy.
- Data on your device — retained until you delete the entry, use "Delete All Data" in Settings, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data from your device.
- Cloud backup data (only if you signed in) — retained for as long as you keep it, so that it is available when you reinstall or switch devices. It is deleted immediately when you use the in-app "Delete Account" option (see Section 6).
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) — automatically deleted after 90 days.
- Analytics data (Firebase Analytics) — retained in aggregated, non-identifying form for a maximum of 14 months, then automatically deleted.
- Support emails — retained for up to 24 months after your enquiry is resolved, then deleted.
- Purchase records — retained by Google Play for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law. We do not hold separate copies.
We do not retain any backup copies of deleted cloud data beyond 30 days, after which deletion is permanent and irreversible.
6. DATA DELETION — HOW TO DELETE YOUR DATA
You can delete your data at any time. There are three options:
6.1 Delete individual entries
Open any weight entry, measurement, progress photo or water entry and tap Delete. The entry is removed from the device and, if cloud backup is enabled, from the cloud immediately.
6.2 Delete all data on this device
Go to Settings → Delete All Data. This permanently erases every weight entry, measurement, progress photo and water record stored on the device. This cannot be undone.
6.3 Delete your account and all cloud data
Go to Settings → Delete Account. This permanently deletes all of your data stored in the cloud (entries, measurements, progress photos) and signs you out. This cannot be undone.
You may also uninstall the App to remove all local data from your device.
6.4 Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the App, or you want to confirm that all data associated with your account has been erased, email us at:
Use the subject line "Weight Tracker – Data Deletion Request" and include the Google account email address you used to sign in. We will verify the request, delete all associated data, and confirm by email within 30 days. There is no charge for this.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR in the EEA/UK, and CCPA in California), you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data (you can edit any entry directly in the App)
- Delete your data (see Section 6)
- Export / port your data — use Settings → Export to CSV or Export to JSON to save a machine-readable copy of your entries
- Object to or restrict processing
- Withdraw consent at any time by signing out, which stops all cloud sync
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights

Our legal bases for processing under GDPR are: your consent (cloud backup, ad personalisation, notifications), performance of a contract (providing the App's features), and our legitimate interests (crash diagnostics and security).
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly. Parents or guardians who believe this has occurred should contact us at muhammadilyas15@gmail.com.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top will change, and material changes will be announced in the App or on this page. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
