1. Introduction

Pest Control Tracker ("we", "our", "the app") is an offline-first Android app that helps homeowners and landlords track pest and termite treatments, re-application reminders, service contracts and termite-bond expiries, and a per-property treatment history. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled.

By using Pest Control Tracker, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Pest Control Tracker does not require an account, sign-in, or registration.

2.1 Information You Enter

All content you enter is stored locally on your device. This may include:

• Property details (name, address, type, year built, size)
• Treatment records (pest type, room, product name/brand, EPA registration number, application date, technician name and phone, cost)
• Service contracts (contractor, contract type, dates, termite-bond/warranty expiry, cost, payment status)
• Pest sightings and notes
• Before/after and evidence photos you attach

This is your own record-keeping data. It is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to us or synced to any cloud server by the app.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Crash and diagnostic data via Firebase Crashlytics (device state, stack traces) to fix crashes.
• Usage analytics via Firebase Analytics (screens visited, feature usage, device model/OS) to improve the app.
• Advertising identifiers via Google AdMob to serve ads in the free version.
• The app does not collect or track your location.

3. How Your Information Is Used

• To provide the app's core functionality (properties, treatments, contracts, sightings, reminders) — on your device.
• To schedule local reminder notifications for upcoming re-treatments and termite-bond expiries.
• To generate a contractor-shareable PDF history that you choose to share.
• To display ads (free version) and process optional premium purchases.
• To diagnose crashes and improve the app.

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Local Storage

• Your data is stored locally using an on-device database (Room), app preferences, and the app's private internal storage (attached photos and generated PDFs).
• Because the data lives on your device, its security also depends on your device's own lock screen and encryption.

4.2 No Cloud Backup

• Pest Control Tracker is offline-first and does not upload your properties, treatments, contracts, or photos to any cloud account or server. Uninstalling or resetting the device without exporting will not carry the data over.

4.3 Network Use

• The internet is used only for: ads, optional purchases, crash/analytics reporting, and the ad-consent form. All such communication uses encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections.

5.1 We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.

• Free-version users see ads served by Google AdMob, which may use advertising identifiers.
• You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings (Settings > Google > Ads).
• Where required, the app requests ad consent via Google's UMP form.
• Premium users do not see ads.

6. Photos

• Photos are added only when you explicitly capture (camera) or select (gallery) them.
• They are stored in the app's private internal storage on your device.
• They are shared only when you choose to share a specific file or a property's PDF history, and are never uploaded to us or used for advertising.
• You can delete them at any time within the app.

7. Notifications

• The app schedules local notifications for re-treatment due dates and termite-bond expiries. You can disable notifications at any time in the app or device settings.

8. Children's Privacy

Pest Control Tracker is intended for adults (homeowners, landlords) and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Your Rights and Choices

• Access & control — all your data is visible and editable within the app.
• Export — you can generate PDF history for your own records.
• Deletion — you can delete individual records; uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data, including photos and generated files.
• Ads — purchasing premium removes ads; you can also reset your advertising ID in device settings.

10. GDPR (European Users)

Because your record data is stored locally and not collected by us, you retain direct control over it. For data handled by the third-party services above (advertising, analytics, crash reporting, purchases), you may exercise your rights through those providers and via the in-app ad-consent controls. 11. Data Retention

We keep your information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy.

• All of your entries stay on your device. We operate no server for this data and never receive a copy of it, so there is nothing for us to retain. Your data is kept until you delete the individual entry, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the App. Uninstalling removes all of it from the device.
• Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) — automatically deleted after 90 days.
• Analytics data (Firebase Analytics) — retained in aggregated, non-identifying form for a maximum of 14 months, then automatically deleted.
• Support emails — if you contact us, your message is retained for up to 24 months after your enquiry is resolved, then deleted.
• Purchase records — retained by Google Play for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law. We do not hold separate copies.

12. Data Deletion — How to Delete Your Data

You can delete your data at any time. Delete individual entries Open any entry in the App and tap Delete. It is removed immediately from the device. Uninstall Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data from your device. Request deletion by email If you cannot access the App, or you want written confirmation that your data has been erased, email us at muhammadilyas15@gmail.com with the subject line "Pest Control Tracker – Data Deletion Request". We will verify the request, delete all associated data, and confirm by email within 30 days. There is no charge for this.

13. Medical/Safety Disclaimer

Pest Control Tracker is a personal record-keeping and reminder tool. It does not provide pest-control, chemical-safety, or structural advice. Always follow product labels and consult a licensed pest-control professional for infestations.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" above and posting a notice within the app.
