Parkinson's Diary ("the app") is a personal Parkinson's symptom-tracking tool. This policy explains what data the app handles.

Summary

• Your health data stays on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, and no cloud copy of the ON/OFF logs, tremor/motor ratings, symptoms, or medications you record. They are stored only in a local database on your phone.
• Data leaves your device only when you choose to share a report (PDF/CSV), and through the limited third-party services below (ads, crash/usage reporting).

Health data you enter

ON/OFF and dyskinesia events, tremor/rigidity/bradykinesia ratings, Hoehn & Yahr stage, non-motor symptoms, medications, and profile details are stored locally on your device only. We do not transmit, sell, or have access to this information. Uninstalling the app deletes this data; you can also delete individual entries in the app.

Notifications

The app can show an ongoing "on/off" notification with one-tap buttons and daily reminders. On Android 13+ you are asked to grant notification permission; you can decline, and the rest of the app still works.

Third-party services

• Google AdMob (advertising): shows ads to users who have not purchased Premium. AdMob may collect an advertising identifier and device information to serve and measure ads. See https://policies.google.com/privacy
• Google Play Billing: processes the Premium purchase. We do not receive or store your payment details.
• Firebase Crashlytics & Google Analytics for Firebase: collect anonymous crash reports and aggregate usage/diagnostic data to help us fix bugs and improve the app. These do not include the health entries you record.

Permissions

• Internet / Network state — ads, purchase validation, crash/analytics reporting.
• Notifications — the on/off notification and reminders.
• Vibrate / Run at startup — reminder delivery and re-showing the on/off notification after a device restart.
• Billing — the Premium purchase.

The app does not request location, camera, contacts, or microphone permissions.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy.

• All of your entries stay on your device. We operate no server for this data and never receive a copy of it, so there is nothing for us to retain. Your data is kept until you delete the individual entry, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the App. Uninstalling removes all of it from the device.
• Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) — automatically deleted after 90 days.
• Analytics data (Firebase Analytics) — retained in aggregated, non-identifying form for a maximum of 14 months, then automatically deleted.
• Support emails — if you contact us, your message is retained for up to 24 months after your enquiry is resolved, then deleted.
• Purchase records — retained by Google Play for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law. We do not hold separate copies.

How to delete your data

You can delete your data at any time. Delete individual entries Open any entry in the App and tap Delete. It is removed immediately from the device. Uninstall Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data from your device. Request deletion by email If you cannot access the App, or you want written confirmation that your data has been erased, email us at muhammadilyas15@gmail.com with the subject line "Parkinson\'s Diary – Data Deletion Request". We will verify the request, delete all associated data, and confirm by email within 30 days. There is no charge for this.

Children

The app is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because your health data is stored only on your device, you remain in control of it at all times. For advertising/analytics data handled by Google, use Google's controls and your device ad settings. Contact us at muhammadilyas15@gmail.com with any privacy question.
