MS Symptom Log ("the app") is a personal Multiple Sclerosis symptom-tracking tool. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

Summary

• Your health data stays on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, and no cloud copy of the symptoms, fatigue ratings, EDSS scores, relapses, medications, or MRI dates you record. They are stored only in a local database on your phone.
• Data leaves your device only when you choose to share a report (PDF/CSV), and through the limited third-party services listed below (ads, crash reporting, and an anonymous weather lookup).

Health data you enter

Fatigue, mood, cognition, pain, sleep, symptoms, EDSS self-scores, walking distance, relapses, medications/DMTs, and MRI/infusion dates are stored locally on your device only. We do not transmit, sell, or have access to this information. Uninstalling the app deletes this data. You can also delete individual entries at any time within the app.

Location (approximate)

If you use the weather / heat features, the app requests approximate (coarse) location to look up local weather conditions from a third-party weather service (Open-Meteo). This is used to help you see whether heat correlates with your symptoms (Uhthoff's phenomenon). Location is used only for that lookup and is not stored on our servers (we have none) or linked to your identity. You can decline the location permission; the rest of the app continues to work.

Third-party services

• Google AdMob (advertising): shows ads to users who have not purchased Premium. AdMob may collect an advertising identifier and device information to serve and measure ads. See Google's policies: https://policies.google.com/privacy
• Google Play Billing: processes Premium purchases and subscriptions. We do not receive or store your payment details.
• Firebase Crashlytics & Google Analytics for Firebase: collect anonymous crash reports and aggregate usage/diagnostic data to help us fix bugs and improve the app. These do not include the health entries you record.

Permissions

• Internet / Network state — ads, weather lookup, purchase validation, crash/analytics reporting.
• Approximate & precise location — optional weather/heat lookup only (approximate is sufficient).
• Notifications — optional daily reminders to log your symptoms.
• Vibrate / Run at startup — reminder delivery and rescheduling reminders after a device restart.
• Billing — Premium purchases.

The app does not request camera, contacts, or microphone permissions.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy.

• All of your entries stay on your device. We operate no server for this data and never receive a copy of it, so there is nothing for us to retain. Your data is kept until you delete the individual entry, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the App. Uninstalling removes all of it from the device.
• Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) — automatically deleted after 90 days.
• Analytics data (Firebase Analytics) — retained in aggregated, non-identifying form for a maximum of 14 months, then automatically deleted.
• Support emails — if you contact us, your message is retained for up to 24 months after your enquiry is resolved, then deleted.
• Purchase records — retained by Google Play for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law. We do not hold separate copies.

How to delete your data

You can delete your data at any time. Delete individual entries Open any entry in the App and tap Delete. It is removed immediately from the device. Uninstall Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data from your device. Request deletion by email If you cannot access the App, or you want written confirmation that your data has been erased, email us at muhammadilyas15@gmail.com with the subject line "MS Symptom Log – Data Deletion Request". We will verify the request, delete all associated data, and confirm by email within 30 days. There is no charge for this.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your region) and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because your health data is stored only on your device, you remain in control of it at all times. For advertising/analytics data handled by Google, you may exercise applicable rights through Google's controls and your device's ad-settings. MS Symptom Log is a personal tracking tool, not a medical device, and does not provide medical advice or diagnosis.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
