Privacy Policy for Bird Pictures
Effective Date: July 30, 2026 Developer: Muhammad Ilyas Contact: muhammadilyas15@gmail.com
1. Introduction
Bird Pictures lets kids discover beautiful birds through a colorful photo gallery with names spoken aloud. Children swipe through the pictures, see each bird's name, and hear it pronounced clearly.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used. The app requires no account and no sign-up, and it stores nothing about you on our servers.
2. Information We Collect
The app does not collect personally identifiable information such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers. The only data involved comes from the third-party services below:
- Advertising data — Google AdMob may use the device's advertising identifier to serve and measure ads.
- Crash and diagnostic data — Firebase Crashlytics collects anonymous crash reports (device model, OS version, stack traces) so we can fix bugs.
- Usage analytics — Firebase Analytics collects anonymous usage statistics (such as screen views) to help us improve the app.
3. How Information Is Used
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Advertising identifier | Showing and measuring the ads that keep the app free |
| Crash reports | Diagnosing and fixing bugs |
| Usage statistics | Improving features and stability |
We never sell data, and we have no access to any personal information.
4. Third-Party Services
The app uses the following Google services, each governed by Google's own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob (advertising) — see the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses ads data
- Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics (diagnostics and analytics) — see Firebase Privacy and Security
Where required by law (for example in the EEA or UK), the app shows a consent dialog before any personalized advertising is loaded.
5. Data Storage
Everything happens on your device. The bird pictures are bundled with the app, name pronunciation uses your device's built-in text-to-speech, and nothing you or your child does in the app is uploaded anywhere. There are no accounts and no cloud storage.
6. Children's Privacy
Bird Pictures is designed to be suitable for children and families. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Advertising in the app is served by Google AdMob with every ad request tagged for child-directed treatment (COPPA) and ad content capped at rating G, so Google serves only child-appropriate, non-personalized ads; parents can review Google's advertising practices at the links in Section 4. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us at muhammadilyas15@gmail.com and we will address it promptly.
7. Permissions
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
| INTERNET | Loading ads and sending anonymous crash/usage reports |
| WAKE_LOCK | Used by the bundled Google services to finish short background work reliably |
The app does not request access to the camera, microphone, location, contacts, or storage.
8. Data Deletion
All app data lives on your device, so uninstalling the app removes everything. To reset the advertising identifier or opt out of ad personalization, use your device's Google settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
